Two years ago BRAZEN BEAU ran a close second in the Group 1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot , catapulting his ownership group onto the world stage.

It will be a much different affair in 2017 when one half of the Lang Brothers Racing team ventures back to the mother country.

Royal Ascot is a race meeting like no other in the world – full of glltz and glamour, aristocracy and wonder. And of course the Bandstand.

But at its core, it is blessed with international racing of the highest quality.

Stables from all over the world converge on Royal Ascot each June in the hope of not only rubbing shoulders with the Queen, but also taking away their own small slice of history.

For this meeting is steeped in tradition, first run in 1711 under the watchful eye of Queen Anne.

In the proceeding 300 years, Royal Ascot has bore witness to some of the greats of the turf, names synonymous with the Sport of Kings.

Names like KINGMAMBO, GALILEO, SO YOU THINK, CHOISIR and of course BLACK CAVIAR.

Who could ever forget the rags to riches story of TAKEOVER TARGET? The cheap as chips bay gelding from Canberra, trained by a part time cab driver, which went on to win the Kings Stand Stakes in 2006.

Or the chills up the spine when wonder horse FRANKEL demolished a high quality field by 11 lengths in the 2014 Queen Anne.

Run over five consecutive days the Royal Ascot meeting is heaven for the racing purist, with races ranging from the 1000m of The Kings Stand to the grueling 4000m of the time honored Ascot Gold Cup.

Whilst there are no Australian representatives on the track this year , there will be plenty in the bars and in the grandstands .

For this is more than just a day at the races. This is an event on the grandest of stages.
