Lang Brothers Racing was privileged to ride the wave of euphoria surrounding our globe trotting superstar BRAZEN BEAU.

He took us to places we never ever dreamed and arguably ignited the passion for the racing industry which has seen us forge our way to where we are today.

We have undoubtedly made bad decisions , persevered with slow horses and been taken for the proverbial ride ….lessons everyone in the racing game has experienced.

Thankfully we have used these experiences to not only strengthen our resolve , but galvanise our passion to continue playing the sport of kings.

Therefore it has been pleasing to see our racing journey almost come full circle over the last few months , all stemming back to the flashy black son of I AM INVINCIBLE , who started it all.

In January 2019 we ventured back to the Gold Coast offering a horse for sale at the time honoured Magic Millions Sales, coincidentally a filly by BRAZEN BEAU .

BRAZEN BEAU had hit the ground running as a stallion , namely through the deeds of two young colts – ACCESSION and TASSORT , who had impressively won two year old lead up races and figured prominently in markets for both the rich Inglis Millennium and Golden Slipper respectively.

Presented magnificently by our good friends and partners at Redbank North, we were ecstatic to see her knocked down to the winning bid of $140,000 to young Queensland trainer Billy Healey.

As fate would have it , Healey had also purchased our first ever yearling offered at the 2018 Inglis Classic Sale, a filly by our mare FAITH IN MY out of young Darley stallion EPAULETTE.

Fast forward a few months and the EPAULETTE filly was looking for new owners and through our connection with Billy , we pulled an ownership group together who will now race her as NEVER LOSE FAITH. 

NEVER LOSE FAITH is related to our up and coming three year old filly FIGHTING FAITH , currently in training wth Ciaron Maher and David Eustace at Caulfield, and through our connection with the stable, our association with BRAZEN BEAU is set to continue.

Maher Racing purchased a stunning BRAZEN BEAU filly at the 2019 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale in Melbourne , out of the proven producing mare ORIENTAL . and we were thrilled to take a share in partnership with some of the existing ownership group who raced BRAZEN BEAU.

We can’t wait to see her hit the track later this year and marvel at how racing has a funny way of coming full circle .

Let’s hope we can again experience the highs racing has to offer with these two fillies.
